Running Journey

My running journey started in 2014. I started with Couch to 5k.  I would wait until night time to run at an elementary school track because I was self conscious about my size.  I didn’t complete Couch to 5k on my first attempt.  My journey was filled with many restarts.  

While doing Couch to 5k I decided I would like to run some 5k’s and 10k’s before finishing Couch to 5k.  I eventually figured it out and finished Couch to 5k.  From there I kept progressing through the different distance apps from the 10k, the Half Marathon, and the Full Marathon.  

I also used running to fuel my weight loss journey along the way.  Currently I’m trying to lose some weight still logging miles.  My heaviest was 340 lbs. and lightest was 189 lbs.  I am currently 312 lbs. and trying to lose.  I want to get in supreme shape and run a PR at the Louisiana Marathon in 2023.
